Perhaps you have tried to solve these problems with the help of family and friends, but are still feeling stuck or misunderstood. Then counselling may be able to help you make sense of your problems and help you find a solution.
We all experience times in our lives when we need some guidance or mentoring from a professional. There is tremendous value in talking through your ideas, problems, and feelings with a counsellor who has the experience, training and expertise to understand what you are going through, and help you create a plan to turn your life around.
I am a professionally qualified Counsellor with over 12 years experience working with individuals and couples, on a short-term and long-term basis. Sessions take place in a professional and confidential environment. I can help you gain better understanding of yourself, to overcome obstacles in your life, and reach your goals.
I have an established counselling practice in the City of London, close to Liverpool Street station. My expertise lies in the areas of: anxiety, depression, anger, relationship difficulties, stress, low self-esteem and sexuality.
I use evidence-based approaches. I primarily utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to provide clients with the tools to change the thoughts and behaviours that have lead to their problems. I also use Schema Therapy, which helps people change life-long self-defeating patterns, and Compassion Focused Therapy, which helps people overcome shame based difficulties.
Working collaboratively with clients I help them identify their strengths and capacity for resilience.
My qualifications include: BSc (Hons) Psychology and MSc Counselling Psychology and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Certificate of Proficiency.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS) I abide by their codes of ethics and am bound by their complaints procedures.
